Here's some vulnerability from a #Founder.
Over the last week, I've realised I talked about my #startup product WAY too much in customer conversations.
Talking about what you do will never lead you to their problems, and knowing those pain points is the key to building the right solution.
So a week ago, my Co-Founder and I made the decision to stop selling and start talking.
The conversations focused around 3 questions:
1) How do you currently do X?
2) What works about that?
3) What do you dislike about it or would change if you could?
Not ONCE did we talk about our idea or product. The result?
I've never been clearer about the audience segment and pain point we are now solving for. We certainly haven't arrived yet, but our direction is set.
Stop selling and start talking today.
