Created automated process for the same.

Recently we also developed automated payment reminders using whatsapp. It's in beta stage as of now.

We've used
1. Twilio for automated bots.

2. Broadcast messaging.

3. WA business Auto Responder for Quick Replies.

4. wa.me/ links for inbound traffic from websites.

in case of broadcast how you make sure your message is being received by another person in case he doesn't have your number saved?

we are using it for education, have mandated each student to save it. In cases we can't do that, sending SMS with a WA link to send a Hi:)

we moved to the WhatsApp API interface with Yellow Messenger.

It has its own limitations and broadcast is chargeable. But there is no compulsion that users should save your number. he will get it for sure.

WhatsApp Business API is provided by many WA BSPs eg, Jumper.ai (My organization) & Yellow Messenger, etc. However, what you want to use the WABA for makes a lot of difference.
The pricing and costs are also different for multiple use-cases. Usually high enough that enterprises can make substantial use of WhatsApp as a platform and not the SMEs.
Usually, the SMEs end up using WA for the most basic of things eg, sending out post-purchase notifications and alerts. Let me know if you have any queries, would love to answer them
