Prathmesh Dixit .

YOUTUBE is second largest search engine in the world !

This intrigued me recently and I decided to jump in. I have realised that taking a leap of faith is more difficult than following a journey.

Now, here is the catch. Every minute YouTube takes on more than 500 hours of videos !!! 😳

Now frankly, I am lacking experience with videos. I am photographer and not cinematographer but its time to learn something which will take my craft further in the journey. Though I am researching a lot, I am looking for advices and connections who have good experience with YouTube & managed to monetise their businesses in any way. Are you one of them? I am all ears !!!

Okay, so I started with Youtube about two months ago. Not being from a creative background, I had to make do with what I had: A phone, a headphone and a Macbook that thankfully had iMovie in it.
Here's a playlist I've created on my Channel so that I can share ALL the videos I watched to create the videos I have.

These are the only videos I watched in the exact order to do what I've done so far.

To understand the quality of videos, you can watch my last video:

The views aren't much and I haven't posted anything for a month since my laptop conked and I haven't been able to get it fully fixed.

But if you're looking for the strategy and pre-prod stuff, let me know.

Monetizing YouTube in today's world is ..well...tough to say the least. And mainly it's because of YouTube themselves. Also not to mention there is just too much content for anyone to really stand out. As a cinematographer and a photographer, I have shot web series and monetizing them is kind of a pain. You need support of other third party firms like Patreon, Twitch, sponsors etc.

Hey man,

I have a channel with around 35k subs. I'm still in college. Mostly brands pay me around $80- $120 per video for an integration and as far as Google Adsense is concerned, I've got over 1.5Mn total views and that got me around $800 in all.

Not a lot but it's a nice hobby to have and gives a bit of clout.

hey mate that’s a proud moment and journey. While numbers are speaking for themselves, I am looking for knowing how to walk on that path ?

How you started it , and how you gain traction in growing your audience keeping them engaged every time !
