Is it better to email or cold call a potential customer?

The method of outreach sales reps use for a first connect makes a significant difference in response rates!πŸ€“

Sometimes picking between sales communication methods (Email Prospecting vs Cold Calling) is a matter of preference and a subjective choice for sales representatives.

However, getting the right sales activity with a lead can make or break your deal.πŸ˜‡

Email is currently the industry darling for salesmen but Phone calls can also be sometimes more effective!

Having said that, what method do you prefer?

Do you prefer connecting to a prospect using a Phone call?πŸ“ž

OR

Do you prefer sending them an email?πŸ“§

Why any reasons behind that?

That's the proven strategy of pre-sales that offers greatest ROI.

FOR A NEW CLIENT

Call & Then Email works fine .

Note: Email should have a short video that can engage the action taker at the other end.

So first briefing everything on the call, then email! Don't you think it should it should be other way around?

Abhishek Avikk Gupta

Depends on the demographics completely or the type of people you are approaching .

Piyush Soni

Ok fair enough! So you always prefer being calling first! for new clients?

Abhishek Avikk Gupta

Yes ,if my client is non-digital,the one who barely check mails, the most busy, I prefer calling them first.

First email and then if you don't get any reply back then you can call.

Piyush Soni

Any specific reasons for the same! Do you also follow the same strategy?

Ishita Sarkar

yes I feel cold calling gets rejected often, so I try emailing n then calling

Depends on the client base. For eg. if it was a group of kirana store owners e-mails would be hopeless.

Personally I prefer phone calls whenever possible as this is interactive, and gives me a brief opportunity to ask a few questions and tune the sales porch accordingly
