Tinder for Developers!š„š„
Feeling lonely!š
Guess what?
Here is a new business idea for all you guys!š¤©š¤©
You might be probably thinking to hire or work with:
- Someone on your level and experience.
- Someone with the same vision as you persists.
- Someone to talk about code or your business idea.
We all know that Tinder is a really good dating app, and solves the purpose for which it was made. But don't you think, it's old fashioned now. What if someone makes a Tinder app for all the business buddies.š„°š„°
The idea is to match the businessmen or entrepreneurs based on their interests, experience, goals, niche, and help them to connect with each other.
What do you think about this idea? Would this idea work?

Raghuveer Prasad
LinkedIn ! Everyone is accesible. Following though
Bhavik Jain
Yeah but the matchmaking based on your qualities is different thing.
Also not everybody replies to your messages on LinkedIn
Rohit NairĀ
The point of Tinder is the excitement and the adrenaline rush. I donāt think Iād be having the same to hire the seo guyš
Bhavik Jain
It can be there when you focus on the result he can give you
Rohit Nair
maybe
raffic and ranking doesn't do that for you?
Yash Singh
Has been done. Blue tie network and bumble bizz. Swiping left/right rarely works in the professional world.
Bhavik Jain
Not aware of Blue tie Network, will check.
Have you used the app?
Yash Singh
yes, there are more man. Shapr from the US. But success totally depends on how you execute. Google with all its might couldn't crack social media. Orkut, wave, blah, blah all became extinct. So, go ahead if you can do it well.
Bhavik Jain
Orkut was successful before it died
Vishal Dahiya
There's Bumble Bizz.
You can swipe based on your interest and skill sets.
Bhavik Jain
I heard most of the people on Bumble bizz are there only to promote their service or do Network marketing
Vishal Dahiya
whatever works for the free marketing and branding:)
When I tried it last year, I got people applying for internships
Bhavik Jain
really? People are getting creative
Vaishali Bakshi
No kidding? Did they?
I did come across cute people there. Not sure if I remember seeing you?
Sri Ram Suravarapu
Bumble has brought in this already! - Bumble Bizz is an option in the same app! It's working good, I've tried it!
Bhavik Jain
How was the experience?
Sri Ram Suravarapu
It's working good. I've got to match and talk to a couple of proffesoinals based on the interest. The UI is good too. I don't think there are any fake profiles in there. But lots of data to be filled before you can use Bumble Bizz. I think that's for filtering stuff and it's fine if people are serious!
Bhavik Jain
I am too ok with sharing the required information and will try to see how good it is and what features are missing in it
Sri Ram Suravarapu
Yeah bro! Check over it and if you want a the website and app developed, lemme know! We can get it done;)
Manita Desai
Itās a good business idea.. let it not die in just msgs ..
Bhavik Jain
as mentioned by other have you used Bumble and blue tie?
Manita Desai
Yes I have heard but there is still lot of scope for your concept if itās not a copy and if it can solve the current problems of small and medium companies ..
Due to COVID lot of them are at the verge of closing down and we all need eachother to grow so this concept will help Bhavikš
Paritosh Sankhla
Tinder already had this. Was in a conference with Tinder India head and she told about the same story. Tinder has hired in the same way and is open for companies to collab and try.
Bhavik Jain
Then why didn't they mix it like Bumble?
Paritosh Sankhla
Most probably because of the fact that its isn't fine with India's hiring culture. The idea of Tinder with Work is that you match with someone so that you can formally meet (for job or anything else). Remove the biggest portion of people finding job iestudents as no company would spend that time meeting and finding nemo in an ocean - so they rather go to campuses ; the lot you're left with are experienced professionals and as far as I've seen Indian job culture runs around nepotism (not the right word maybe but no it's in trend). Recruiters or founders prefer to hire people they already know directly or through someone. Connection is a bigger value than skills+experience. And then we're left with startups, and for them LinkedIn & conventions does the most job already.

Isn't search(like in LinkedIn/freelancing/findcofounder sites) better than just swiping on random suggestions. I mean if I can exactly pinpoint my requirement & can get a list of potential people, what is the need of buzz word 'match'. My point is if you want to create any such matching technology I will prefer to see a list instead.
Bhavik Jain
How many people do reply to your message on LinkedIn and how many good connections you were able to build with strangers?
Pratik Kumar
A lot. The only thing that matter is intention. Even if you on tinder(professional) and people don't reply after matching it is of no use.
Bhavik Jain
LinkedIn is used as a tool just to create profile and show he is a professional person
But the tinder for professional will be used by serious people who want to connect n Network
Siddharth Verma
if one implement log in with Linkedin. I guess it would be gold. I guess Bumble have something similar.
PS- If you remember I shared a similar idea some months back. Dating for professional. So if someone wants to build it. I have a lot of stuff readyš
Bhavik Jain
I think LinkedIn is stuck and is not able to innovate now.
You didn't start working on your idea?
Siddharth Verma
Neah I didn't. And I am not comparing the idea to Linkedin. Was just saying if we can log in to the app with LinkedIn we can pre fetch a lot of valuable data
Bhavik Jain
True we should do that and that will help people find a genuine profile
Somya Jain
Woww
Seems a unique idea.
Infact one can even follow the basic principle of tinder which is to built trust and conformable relationship with each other
Bhavik Jain
not unique as it has been tried by other app in a different way
Yes that basic principle can be followed
Ravinder Payal
If i need someone to come and start working for money, I donāt think I have enough time to do petty proxy conversation. You might be wondering for long term relationship trust building is important, regarding that I would say hire from campus, train them. In case of ready for actual work professionals, both sides got no time for timepass
Saurav Chirania
Working on something on similar lines for the past few months. Will release in a couple of days. Will inform you once I release it. It is very different from Linkedin, I don't understand how can people recommend Linkedin for dating ffs.
Yash Bhardwaj
Ā The idea is good but many have tried and failed. If you can solve the chicken and egg problem then youāll win.
āHow to get enough developers, and enough non technical cofoundersā so that everyone at any time is not left without matches
Lastly youāll need more than a tinder app :
- make a process that vetts good developers, either integrate with hacker rank or make your own process
- similar with designers or any other skillset founders.
The biggest driver of this idea would be community. It will increase retention of your app and serve as a growth channel
Nilesh Kadivar
Please add AI ,chatbot and voice base input for user registration as you need multiple data type input from user while registering to make a effective match algo, nobody want to type a much.
Sayon Mondal
Tinder would be too casual example of matching entrepreneurs. Aisle (dating app) on other hand takes lot more info and then tries to match (as per my research findings lol) a bit like Shapr(professional networking) but it's filled up with network marketing people and at times it gets super irritating. Can be an interesting project if implemented properly especially in lockdown when people are forced towards being virtual.
most active community
and interact with 20k+
like-minded entrepreneurs
